can you make sites whith only photoshop?

i can make sites whith php and asp, but what can you make with photoshop?

have you some exemples so i can see?

you can only make images with photoshop. ps and ir will assist you with some of the slicing, rollover and image map stuff, but that's it.

Photoshop is an image editing application. To design a website you would use a web design program, such as Dreamweaver, gOlive, or even notepad, if you know how to code in HTML.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I would image that (Programmer's) would be a bit more resourceful than using this forum or any other for that matter to ask a "simple" question like that.

I would have said theoretically yes. Since you can save as HTML in Photoshop, thats all you need to create a web page.

But practically no.

Theoretically yes. You can make very simple pages, but not sites. It's too limited (as described above).

As Ir is an integrated part of Photoshop the answer can only be 'yes, you can make a whole website with Photoshop/Imageready'!

Whether a website made this way is practical for everyone and can cope with all needs is another question, but the fact remains that a fully functional website is possible and that Image Ready does all the coding for you.

For speed, I use this the feature for creating sites which I put on CD with an autostart. Companies use these CD's in connection with their Company or product presentation materials. They could just as well be put up on the internet instead of on a CD (would have to cut down on load times though).

For 1 week only, I have put an example up here (NB! content menu's are 'dead links' - left menu works):

As you can see from the quality of the text, there has to be some compromises, but it is possible.
