Hey guys,

Maybe this is a Groupwise question, but it would greatly help if I could find a way to import data from my Groupwise mailbox into our Access database, which serves as the office correspondence tracker. All the information that goes into Access is copied and pasted from Groupwise messages that, for the most part, are in direct correlation with fields in Access. What I mean is that there is a subject field, a body of the message field, a sender field, date, etc. There HAS to be a way to convert this information into a format readable by Access......

Most of the information you want is available to you if you are using outlook.
Just open an outlook application and use outlook VBA. Most textbooks give you eg's of automation from access. Just find a good one on outlook automation. If you want to more try finding a book on outlook vba, there are a few out there.

Thanks for the advice. Do you mean that instead of a Novell product we would need to be using a Microsoft Product? We don't use Outlook; can you do it in Novell Groupwise? Are there any more specifics you could give me; I'm a novice at programming issues.

Thanks,
CAT

I don't know if there is a Novell Groupwise ODBC. But if it does exist, you have that ODBC as an option.

Thanks! These replies have given me avenues to research.
