I am developing a vb.net app for programming keys on digital feature phones (we don't have MAT or similar). I can populate my textbox controls with the key contents however need to know the number of digits for the D parameter on hotlines. Is there any method to obtain this parameter or do you need to work out what codes are in use to determine the number of digits to be expected.
The aim of the app is to store the key mapping to a file so that it be transmitted to the switch to configure the respective extension as required.

I think you need to go with the number of digits in the codes. When programming the keys you have to input the number of digits, but when reading the TN print out it doesn't indicate the "D" portion of the key programming.

My bad - the "D" is standing for Dial, the next digit is for the number of digits, then the DN you are dialing.
