Can you access a database from the web?

Can you setup an access database that was designed in Access 2000 to be accessed from the web? If so, how is thisn done.

You cannot open an access database in the same way as a desktop pc from the web. However, if you wish view, add,delete, and modify record you should look into Active Server Pages/Perl etc in order to do this

I am not familiar with active server is this software with virtual server capability or hardware with software capability.
