Does any one know how to get it to link to a specific directory?
I know how setup a Word document to link to a specific document of web page. I even tried linking to a shortcut pointing to the directory.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -Bobby

Bobby,

I'm not sure if I totally understand your question, but if I do, here's what you can do:

In your word document, type in a name for your link. Highlight the text you just typed and choose "Insert" then "Hyperlink" from the menu.

In the resulting window, just type in the network (or local)directory that you want to link to (i.e. D:\\TestingLinks\Links). Then click "OK" to finish.

When you click on your link it will open Windows Explorer to that directory. If you provided the full path of a document when setting up a link (i.e. D:\\TestingLinks\Links\LinkedDocument.doc) then it will open up that document in Word.

If this is not what you are trying to do, I apologize for the inconvience.

Thanks
Kevin

Thanks Kevin,
That's exactly what I needed. I tested it out, and it works great. Thanks.
