I have W2K Pro machines connected in to a workgroup. I created a local group policy on one of them to hide some start menu and desktop icons. I want it to affect only certain users who logon this machines locally instead of everyone, but I dont know if that is possible and how.

Can anybody help me on this Please?

Note: there is no domain on this network.

thanks

I believe you can create local users, then put the ones you want into a group, then apply the GP to that group. Therefore, anyone logging on the machine, and is in the GP group, gets the gp applied to them.

Is this what you're asking?

Either way, you may be more sucessful posting this question in the windows 2000 server/pro forums. ________________________________________

Thanks Sgbt,

Okey, I understand that, but how do you apply local group policy to the new group?
