can this be done without an .exe?

i have been building an auction and have come up against a potential problem.

when a sellers auctions comes to an end various procedures are executed.

however.....if the site were to be quiet(ie. no visitors) over the days that the auction dies the script to complete the death of auction tasks won't be executed.

is there anyway to do this in ASP without having to build extra software to run on the server?

No way in ASP that's not messy that I can think of, but also not perhaps necessary to use an executable, depending on your database, etc. codestorm
