can someone please help me with this FTP problem?

I am running IIS 5.0, on W2k svr. I turned off Anonymous access on the site, but when i try to log onto the site with a valid username and password, it says the FTP server could not log you on.

Yes i typed the username and password correctly.

Any help would be appreciated

Does the user have a defined login path with rights

Check the event viewer. There you can find the info on what went wrong exactly. (Wrong user or password )

Check that the user has an account on the local machine, not just the domain. I had a similar problem where this was the quickest fix.

I set up a FTP server on Advanced Server and had a hard time getting to log on.

Include the domain that the server authenticates from, and include a backslash before the username.
Example username: analog\joeuser
