Can send & rcv internal / send external, but not rcv external

Hello All,

The problem recently started. We can send and recieve internal e-mail, and send external e-mail, but cannot receive external e-mail. I have checked with my ISP to make sure all is alright on thier end. Checked firewall everything is fine there. Just cannot receive external e-mail.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

have you checked you event log for DNS errors?

perhaps your MX record is not working in DNS

Thanks, for the suggestion.

Checked the MX & DNS, and all was fine.

What I did was re-create the SMTP Virtual Server and the e-mail started flowing again.

Do you two ip's configured in exchange?? then that's the problem. I had same problem when i had two, eventually I congiured one NIC with external IP & internal IP. Make sure DNS MMX is configured with External IP.
