Can Polycom 335 and 550 phone fail over? 2

We have a prospect looking to come off a hosted service, asterisk based, to IPO.

They would like to reuse their Polycom 335 and 550 phones.

Does anyone know if these support survivability in IPO as redundancy is important to these guys. The prospect is also looking at more than 30 IPOCC agents, so it would be server edition. Most likely virtualized.

The amount they're going to be spending hardly warrants a few bucks savings on some handsets, the licence is so expensive and the integration so minimal it simply isn't worth it :)

IPOCC does not support 3rd party IP endpoints so you need to replace them anyway.

IPOCC does support softphones

The following telephones are supported for the IP Office Contact Center:

Hi,

If your question is "does SCN resilience support SIP phone resilience" the answer is no.
If your question is "is there a way to have resilience for SIP Phone" the Avaya answer is yes, especially in a hosted environment but it have a cost.
You'll have to choose IPO Select Edition to support VMWARE HA.
I never try it but it should works.
The big issue with this is that you cannot have a "local resilience" (with an IP 500 gateway)
