My problem is that on the Win98 PC's on our school's Network, I cannot access the Internet through any browser (Mozilla or IE). Mozilla is a straight install, IE has the proxy settings that are supposed to be used for our school. From a DOS prompt I can ping any ip address outside the network or any url with success.
If I try to type in an ip address in either browsers address window it comes back with the usual blank look etc, page bot found etc.
There are two XP Pro SP2 machines sitting either side of the 98 PC, both of which can surf to their hearts contents.
The network is based on the following components: Server is w2K3 12 or so pc'S on win 98 and 6 pc'S on XP PRO SP2. The XP PC's are connected wirelessly to a Dlink 900AP+ access point which in turn is connected to the LAN.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be most obliged.
Thanks in advance,
Sue
