I have a user in trying to edit a Word document, in particular cells in the document, but they can do nothing in it.Cannot select text or cells.
The file is on a shared drive. And the user has read/write rights.
There are no messages on openning the document eg. 'This document is being used by some one else etc etc.' as the document is on a network drive that is shared thorughout the company.
Also i checked the properties and the document is not 'read-only'.
I have been able to open the document and edit it. While doing this i 'Re-saved as' the document to see if the user could edit it but same problem occurs.
We are running two versions of office, 2000 and 2003. So i was wondering if that could be a problem with a document created in 03 and opened by 2000, but no-one else here has had this problem.
