Can Only Receive Certain Traps?

I am trying to set up a trap receiver on my network (OS: Windows 2000 Server) and I'm seeing some strange results. The receiver will pick up traps like linkUp, linkDown, coldStart, etc. from ALL machines on my network. However, I have a test trap generator on all machines which I am using to test my trap receiver, and when I send out test traps, the receiver will only pick up test traps from ONE particular machine. I've used a few different programs I've found online including CSCare's Trap Console and iReasoning's MIB Browser and I've experienced the same problem with all of them. So, I think it's probably some setting in Windows that is different on that one machine to make it work correctly. But, I have no idea what this setting could be. Any ideas or hints as to where to start looking?? Thanks!

Firewall maybe?

Thanks for the response Trojan. However, I don't have any firewalls on any of my machines. Do you have any other ideas?

Can you "watch the wire" with, say, ethereal and see if the traps are actually being sent?

Yes, I've used Ethereal on the machine with the receiver to verify that the test traps are being received from all machines. I couldn't see much difference between the test traps that can be detected by the receiver and the test traps that cannot be detected in the information that Ethereal gave me.
