Hello everyone.

We are behind ISA 2004 and I am using the firewall client.

The problem is that whenever I try to upload something to an external ftp server (on the Internet) I get an "access denied" message. I can get data from the FTP server but I can not upload.

I have configured a "full Internet access rule" on ISA 2004 that includes all protocols. Also I checked the properties in this access rule "properties > configure FTP > uncheck FTP Read Only" but still I can not upload data.

Any ides what might be the problem?

Thank you in advance.

Are you using a 1nic configuration on the isa server?
a 1nic config doesnt feature ftp uploading...

Right click the rule and then "Configure FTP".
Then untick the "Read Only" box.
Apply the change and all is well.

Oops, just noticed you already said you unticked the box (I was talking to someone else whilst I read your post).

Try creating a rule specifically for FTP and place it at the top of the rule order.
