We just upgraded a 81C IGS to 1000M FNF MG. The upgrade was sucessfull but i am getting a DTI011 error when I tried to switch clocks. I have checked cabling and clock settings and they are correct. Any idea?

the dti011 should point to a persig card.. replace it..
DTI0011 c
System clock c cannot be switched in because loss of service will
result to the peripheral signaling pack listed.
Action: "If the problem persists contact your technical support
representative.
1. Identify the GROUP(s) containing the identical PS cards.
2. Identify the IGS card(s) that supplies the clock signal from the
indicated clock to the GROUP(s).
3. Use OVL 39 to disable and re-enable that IGS card(s) (ENL/DIS IGS
n).
4. Retry switching clocks (SWCK)"
Severity: Info

You probably upgraded the clocks at the same time right? I went through the same issue and Nortel made me change the clock cables. They didn't check anything else, just said I need to replace the cables. Which makes me think they have a known issue with these cables and just don't want to admit it.

You might also want to try a "ssck 0,or 1 full" in ld 60, and make sure the firmware on the clocks downloaded

and the download needs to be to the idle clock, if mem serves me right

Thanks, I did not download firmware or change cables because we did not have spares. I will try and download firmware tonight assuming this is not service impacting and if that does not work I guess I will change cables.

What did you upgrade from ?

I know that if you are going from 25.x to Rls 4.5 and above you will need to replace the clock controllers.

We did change clock controlers I am waiting for our window to download firmware. It looks like it will be monday morning.

A wise old man once told me.

Read the F*&%ing NTPs.

They are written for a reason.

Also, (as I too forget) they get updated as us poor sods find the mistakes. So dont re-invent the wheel. READ.

There was nothing in the upgrade process to download CC. That was not the problem. Next step, Does anyone know what cable the problem was with NTRC49 or the NTRC46? I have also opened a ticket with GNTS and they are recommending changing the cables.

I do not remember the exact part number off the top of my head but it was the Y cable from the clocks to the FIJI cards. Also the clocks should automatically download when you upgrade the system, we just had a clock that did not for some reason.

Thanks a12ozbottle I think you are right on. That is the NTRC46 cable. I have asked Nortel what cable they are recommending to change out but no reply yet. I am waiting on a window to get them changed out. I will update as soon as it is completed.

a12ozbottle are you sure that it was the clock to fiji cable? Nortel is having us replace the clock to clock

Those are the ones I replaced. If it is possible I would have both on hand, and try Nortels recommendation first.

I have same ERROR DTI011 when i try to SWCK a 81c with FNF but this switch had been running for years. What i did was INI and everything work again..

This morning we replaced clock to clock NTRC49AA cable, no luck. We then replaced the NTRC46 clock to fiji side 1 cable no luck, then side 0, replaced clock controllers still same issue. ANYONE have any ideas????????

A parallel reload resolved the issue. clocks are able to swap without issue.
