Can not open URL automatically with IE from OutLook Express

Hello,

In the past I used to click on any URL into my OutLook Express messages, or from any applications, and it will open the IE browser and displays the related URL I clicked on.

Now, I don't know what I did, but after I click on the link, I just open IE but that's it : blank page.

Any idea which parameter needs to be turn on/off ?

I'm using OutLook Express 6 and IE 6 as well, with Windows 98 SE.

This has been popping up ALOT lately.

I'm not sure and it won't hurt, go to:

http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp

and download the Windows Script 5.5 from that page or try the 5.6 beta download. I've been using it with no problems. I have IE6, OE6, and Win88SE also.

In fact in the same time I got useful information on this MS support web page :

But either option 1 or 2 solved my problem. Perhaps because I'm using IE and OE 6.

SO finally, I ran the Internet Explorer 6 Repair utility:

Click Start , point to Settings , click Control Panel , and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.

In the list of installed programs, double-click "Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools".

1. Click Add/Remove
2. Click Repair Internet Explorer
3. when the process is finished, restart the computer.

Now I have solved my problem.
