Can Not Maximise Window ?

Hi

I have a silly problem that has now shown up on a second computer - the problem is that I can not maximise my Internet Explorer (5) window, when I try, the window sort of heads down to the SE of the screen, making the three windows (control) buttons move off the edge of the screen - the only way to get it back is to right click and select "restore" and manually resize to fit the screen.

Any one had this problem and or knows how to fix it?

When the windows opens, drag the borders, top, right, bottom, and left to the size you want (almost filling the entire screen). DO NOT use the maximize button.

Now choose File>Close, DO NOT use the X in the top right corner. Go back to the page you just opened the new one from, choose View>Refresh and now click the link again, it should open to the size that you just closed it from.

Do this in the exact order described.

you should delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\oldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

I had the same problem today and it fixed it for me.
