We have a CS 1000 (Option 81c) Rls 5.5 and Call Pilot Rls 5.0 with capabilities of desktop fax messaging. How ever locally we can fax but can not exceed 17 pages and if more than 17 pages are sent or received we get a failure error (and keep receiving the same fax multiple times). The other issue is when we try to fax out long distance it does not go through (our company uses long distance code). Call Pilot states to use a p (2 seconds pause) to separate numbers and a # for the pound sign. Does any body have this issue? Your help will be greatly appreciated, below are the PRT’s of the TN and ERR.

Check your RPL's in callpilot these generally stiop long distance dialing options.

We have been messing with the RPL's but no luck. Do you an idea what # to permit or restrict?

Check the NCOS of the channels

I belive NCOS is set correctly becase when we send a long distance fax on a REGULAR FAX MACHINE it works perfectly. The problem is when we send it via DESKTOP FAX MESSAGING.

The default NCOS is 0, this normally is not high enough to call LD

Not the Phantoms the CHANNEL TN's

In what load do I go to check the NCOS for the CHANNEL TN's? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to find out where the MGATE Card is then go to LD 20 and do a Print on that slot

Try:
access code, 1 , area code, exhange, terminal digits, Two pauses, long distance code

91xxxxxxxxxxppNNNN

We already tried it like you said, went up to six pauses but no luck. Any idea why?

We had a similar error not long ago and adding VPIM to the CP cleared it up. Not sure if it would work on yours!

Also, try the comma comma. Usually works to pause before the LDAC.

We had so many issues with LDACs on the fax lines that we took them off that set of numbers.

Also check your Mailbox Classes, open Fax Desktop Users. Scroll down to the bottom and you will find RPL, see what Outdialing is set too.
