I have been trying to get the built in firewall enabled in XP but no luck to this point, is it worth while to use or would I be better to get Zone Alarm etc.

Thanks Smitty98

The 3rd party software is better. Windows built in only blocks incoming requests as far as i know. If you still would rather use it please post any error messages or symptoms you have.

I would stick with Zone Alarm. You'll be able to configure it the way you want to. The built in one, from what I've seen when I played wit it doen't allow for any config.

go to start, settings, network connections. the right click on your connection then left click on properties go to the advanced tab and just put a check in the box.
