can not copy/paste between platforms

I have a desktop machine runs Ubuntu 6.06. I logon to w2k and win xp servers from this linux box through rdesktop.

Starting last week, I can not use copy/paste between w2k and linux/WinXP any more. I can still copy/paste between linux and WinXP though.

I am so confused, 'cause I used to be able copy/paste freely among all these these platforms.

Could someone here tell me what went wrong? many thanks!

I've never been able to cut/paste through rdesktop but I can cut/paste using WIN Remote Desktop.

Please specify: what is the client and what is the server in each case.
