Another tech performed an upgrade om a BCM50 from r3 to r6. He said everything went ok. However, I can not connect to the Call Pilot via my laptop. I get the following error, "A network problem was encountered. Please check your network settings." Call pilot and vmail are working properly, I am able to telset in using F983. I am able to access BCM via Element manger. I am just unable to access the Call Pilot programming via laptop. Any suggestions?

Did you also update your Element Manager application from the BCM?

Does this link work?

x's are your BCM's IP address.

Is your java up to date? in past it was an issue when using that launch button.
Are you trying to get to callpilot from the launch button in Element manager?
You can also try from the front page then navigate to Callpilot

Did the tech patch after the upgrade? that's the first thing you do after upgrading.

A few things to try out here,

1) Try different browsers. I've found that some browsers don't work as well.

2) Use a different computer's browser and perhaps a different operating system.

3) Try using the other Ethernet port (OAM)to log on.

4) Check and post the BCM's patches here. I think the last release 6.0 ones were

BCM50 6.0
==================================

PATCH ID: BCM050.R600.SU.System-022.201412-1 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM050.R600.SU.Desktop-005.201406-1 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM050.R600.BASH-135-2 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM050.R600.SRG-137-1 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM050.R600.SAMBA-136-1 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM50R6_FactoryImageUpgrade-1.02-0 Category: GEN

As was mentioned above, Java is usually the problem. You might want to go to control panel and look for Java. There are some settings to alter and see if you can add the BCM's IP address in.
