We have a customer with analog COT circuits to 3 Premicell boxes...however can not dial mobiles or any outgoing call via these Premicell boxes...tested using acod and performed a trace...can see call going through the COT circuit to the Premicell with dialled number..however just receive silence, and call does not appear to be sent out..

Tested with analog phone direct on Premicell box..call goes through and rings but disconnects on answer.

I'm not sure we could help from a Nortel standpoint until you get the Premicell boxes working?

Thats true..but was wondering, when I call using the access code on a digital phone, why the call appears not to be sent out via the Premicell to the called party..where I can hear ringing..like when I use a analog phone direct on to the Premicell.

If you are able to at least get somewhere with the plain telephone, that indicates your trunks should be set up as loop start - are they?

Are you certain the Premicell is even hearing from the PBX? Doing a TRAC says the call was attempted, but getting silence might indicate there isn't anything connected to the COT.

No they are set up as Ground start.

Not sure if they are connected to the Premicell, however I can get an additional dial tone when dialing the acod to access the COT..and if I pull the cable out of the premicell box the call is disconnected on the Nortel phone..

Thanks..

OK, well it's connected then. I'd test with Loop Start to see if there is any difference. Maybe just disable all but one trunk in the PBX and change the remaining enabled trunk to SIGL LOP

One other thought - make sure the trunks are CLS DTN (and not DIP).
