can not add user to groupwise post office 1

Scenerio: 5 schools (A,B,C,D,E). Each school has its own netware server and each school has its own network administrator with administrative rights to its own sever. However, School A has administrative rights to all of the severs. School A creates the users and groupwise PO All of the schools can create users(the add user to groupwise PO is grayed) but only school A can create the groupwise PO (add user to groupwise PO is not grayed)

First I thought maybe because B,C,D,AND E did not have adminitrative rights to all servers
then i thought maybe because the wpdomain.db and other files were loaded on A's server.(I installed groupwise on my server but there are no files in the domain folder and I am not sure of what it means when console one says the groupwise domain database was not found. Unfortunately School A's nework admin is gone and his Personal computer wipe out before he left (not his server) Schools b,c,d, and e can create users but have no way of assigning groupwise po. Admin password and username can be obtained but would like to know which direction to go in am i on the rigth track?
What would be the possible reason or solution for the other schools to be able to create their users groupwise po.

In order for ConsoleOne to load the GW snapins it must know where the WPDoamin.db is located. This is why you are getting the error "groupwise domain database was not found" when trying to start ConsoleOne. Just try mapping a drive to the WPDoamain.db, then point ConsoleOne to that drive mapping when it allows you to type in a location or search for the WPDoamain.db. If you get this connection made to the GW Doamin I beleive this will fix a few (if not all) of your problems with being able to administer users & PO's.

That is exactly what it is. Thank You so much. I talked to some of the guys from the company that set it up. Who ever has to set up the email has to have rights to the server that the wpdomain.db file is located on in order to access it or connect to it. Thanks to you I felt a lot more comfortable dicussing my beliefs to the problem. I have been using novell for the past three years with a little training mostly what I figure out on my own or listening to people who know more about it. It is not easy finding someone who knows novell or groupwise. I am so glad you are a member of tek tips.

No problem teh, just don't go over to the dark side (MS or Outlook). Netware & GroupWise are super products that will only be getting better as time goes along. Especially with Novells recent acqusition of SuSE Linux. Have a good one!
