I have just started having problems with my 2000 server. It seems that I can not access HTTP pages through IE or Netscape. I am able to access HTTPS pages and FTP pages.

Everytime I type in an address, like it will be redirected to MSN's search page address and then come back with - Page could not be found. It will also change the address in the address line to Really Weird!!!!

Not sure what is going on. I have checked all of the Internet options and they all seem correct. By the way I am logged in as the administrator.

At this site we have our own T1 and DNS server. I ran ipconfig and everything looks good. I can ping the DNS server and I can ping other outside servers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to access pages on your server, or the outside world?

Try uninstalling tcp/ip and installing again. This works fine..

Port 80 (HTTP) could be blocked on your router/firewall in order to prevent servers to get onto non-secure webpages.

First things first !
I think this is a name resolution problem.
Check the clients settings
Try setting only a internet DNS server in the TCP/IP options. (or set forwarders in your local DNS server, but this might be more difficult)
If the default gateway on your client set up correctly ?
(try pinging a IP on the internet)
If that works, try pînging a DNS name (e.g. If that works, it should work fine
