My system has an Avaya Partner ACS R6.0 processor with Avaya Partner Messaging R7.0 Voicemail (6 port) and two other modules (206EC and 206E). I set up the system a number of months ago using the Partner R7.0 PC Administration Program via my computer. I have also used remote administration a few times early on before I started administering through the computer program.
In trying to make some changes to the system, I found that I cannot access in any way.
Here’s what I’ve tried and what happened:
Using the Partner R7.0 PC Administration Program via my computer, I cannot connect. I went back through the original set-up (RS232, 355a connection, hyper terminal, etc.) to make sure I could “talk” to the system that way and that I had the correct password. All seemed well when I put it through its paces that way, but I was still unable to connect through the LAN. (I even just connected the laptop computer direcly at the module to ensure that it was not a LAN/router/etc. issue.)
Next, I went ahead and tried to connect using the remote administration program. Couldn’t get any of the four (?) ways to work, I’m guessing due to modem hand-off problems, as I have at least been able to connect via direct dial to 76 this way once or twice in the past.
Finally, I tried to do at least a couple of things by going through Intercom 77. Even though I have checked the password for this on the phone, it still tells me my password here is wrong.
Please help. Why can’t I connect? What else should I try? Could someone at least tell me how to bypass the Intercom 77 password so I can do a few things that way?
THANKS!!!
