It can't be done. Do a search on this board for "disable view source" and you'll see.

Why is your source code so valuable?

Greg.

You self righteous git! What makes you think your code is worth looking at? %-(
The whole point of the web is to share information. - If the code you write is anything like the English you produce, I wouldn't want to go within 100 miles of it.

Get a life and concentrate on producing good code to help newbies.
Incidentally, how did you learn HTML & JavaScript???

Not from anyone else's site, of course!!!

perhaps if u tried scrolling the clear page u may find peoples source code at the bottom after a lot of line breaks.......

u could always do this if u really think u got source code worth hiding and 'it aint right'...

me if u want some code for yourself only then u is in the wrong business.....

:-(

Just want to say this, but if anyone is going to be posting to a technical forum. I (and others possibly) would appreciate a more "professional" style of asking a question, or typing for that matter, such things includes not using CAPS, not using partial sentences, and not using [337 73><7 (leet text , or trunctiated wording)

plain HTML is nothing to try to "HIDE" nor is javascript, you have to get it somewhere, and everyone has copied something from someone else, if you truely want to protect something, work on serverside, or work on creating Flash, Java, or ActiveX controls. Until then, stop complaining about people stealing HTML, it's pretty much worthless. Karl Blessing aka kb244{fastHACK}

That's because the whole page is FLASH. There's really no source to view!

Karl, can you have a little bit of patience for other people please? Although KILLAH_MUNDA's question wasn't particularly original, that was no cause to blast him for his lack of a "professional" style in asking his question.

The poor guy was obviously upset when he wrote his message, and who among us hasn't had work-related panic attacks which translate into a somewhat skewed writing style? I for one, was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

However if you're going to be quite so snobbish, I'd suggest finding a more 'professional' forum... maybe one where you have to check your posts thrice for spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, use of 'slang' terminology, and misuse of the English language in general. In which case, I might add, your post on this thread would have been rejected. Poor spelling, bad grammar...

I'm not one for hiding your source code since most of it is not really all that valuable. However, I was wondering if one could hide his code from all means of viewing by putting the code inside a hidden frame. I know from visiting a few sites that use hidden frames that it is nearly impossible to view the contents since the view source button does not bring up the source of other frames and if you disable the right click btn and even the keyboards with the r.click btn on them, they can only view the source of visible areas.

I was just wondering if this would be possible, It would be a hassle since you'd still have to make script that called your code from the other frame but I wonder if it is possible. Anybody have any idea??

The only way is using Flash, you can get source a pile of different ways, turn off java, cache, Bot's, netscape
