Hi there,

I have my ISP DNS servers listed in my TCP properties and would like to know if it is possible to get the mail routed to a local server without going upstream first? I would prefer not to change my existing DNS situation if possible.

I know there is a way to do this for computer names but not sure about MX records, any suggestions would be grateful.

mx records are a dns record that refer to a hostname. So, technically, no. But please clarify exactly what you're trying to accomplish. If you're trying to send outoing mail from clients through a local mail server, that can easily be done by IP address - no name resolution required.
