If we have 2 S8500s with COmm manager 3.0 on them connected via a T1, can one phone set the MWI on a phone on the far end. Lets say they are both set up with UDP.

thanks,

If they are networked - look up LWC reception. Should be able to use your LWC code to operate the light on the other end as long as the extension is set to recieve LWC messages.

You will need to have DCS configured on both switches. DCS can be done over IP trunks, point-to-point circuits and certain PSTN trunks.

Thanks Kevin, checking out DCS options.

The MWI messages can be sent automatically from the voicemail system to a remote system. The method varies depending on how the systems are interconnected. Centralized voicemail via DCS or QSIG or DCS-QSIG interworking are all possible solutions depending on the type of voicemail system you are talking about and the features available on the PBX. Both Intuity AUDIX and Modular Messaging support this type of functionality.

I am suprised you are not using IP Trunking between the two systems but instead have a tie line.

This is for T1 gateway testing, we need o test with a T1 PRI Qsig.

So when doing a list trace station on the call
we get these messages:

active station 2908 cid 0x1872
dial *45003 route:UDP AAR
term trunk-group 3 cid 0x1872
idle station 2908 cid 0x1872
tone-receiver 01AXX05 cid 0x1874
active station 2908 cid 0x1874
dial #487
term trunk-group 4 cid 0x1874
denial event 1335: LWC blocked by msg_sv D1=0x5 D2=0x1874
....
later:
dial #45001
denial event 1644: Orig block/invalid digits D1=0x5 D2=0x1877

Anyone have any info on the denial event messages, or in what manual/guide I can find out some details as to why they are occurring?

Any ideas on the error messages?
