Can I use the GW-Agent from AS6.6 on AS7.0?

We did run AS7.0 with GW Agent 6.6 for a while because the registration key for GW Agent 7 didn't work. We have not seen any problems.
We were adviced by CA to use GW Agent 7 for our Groupwise v6 installation. That's why we upgraded the agent to version7.
