Hi,

I'm using Terminal Services to administer our Win2k servers. I'm wondering is it possible to use it on our one NT 4.0 server as well? If so, Can anyone give me a push in the right direction?

Thanks so much for your help!

NT 4.0 had a separate edition called Terminal Server Edition. You cannot connect via Terminal Services unless you have this specific edition of NT 4.0. It was designed for Server based computing and not for remote administration. Microsoft decided to include Terminal services it in all Windows 2000 distributions. They allow you to install TS in two different modes, application mode or remote administration mode. Unless you are hosting applications you will want to install TS on Win2k in Remote admin mode.

You may however want to remotely administer your NT 4.0 server with PCAnywhere or a free product called WinVNC that can be downloaded from the Internet.
