I use Crystal 11 and visual basic.

I have main report that is container for more than 20 subreports.
Everything working fine, but some time subreport contains only couple of rows.
For make maintenance easy I try to include more than one report in single section of main report. But looks like subreprts displays on top of each other even without data sources set.
Each subreports has his own data source.
Does that possibly to use more than one subreport in single section and maintenance their position?
Does that recommended in general?
Thank you.

i would keep subreports in seperate sections and let the section grow/shrink.

You can put subreports side-by-side in a single section.

20 subreports? Is this necessary? Subreports are a pain in the rear perforance wise. If you have a way to do this without 20 subreports, I advise you to do so.

Thank you for response I have done using single subreports in each section. It was necessary by business rules and performance is OK, because I read data form COM object, not from database, especially designed for reports needs.
I’ll test side-by-side right now.
