Can I use DVD-RW for Backup ?

Hi.
I got the Demo version of BrightStor ARCserve Backup.
for Backup Device as I understood it uses only the Tape, can I somehow use my DVD-RW for device?
I backup my data to DVD-RW disks (not large data, but everyday backup). and I want something automatically write to Disk at night.
So, I was looking somthing for that.
What program can I use for that?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

really only tape, news to me, but then I'm behind the times

setup a FSD File System Device to the DVD and that should work, that is unless it happens to be one that is not on the official CA ARCserve certified device list

mine is Chinese product, Liteon DVD-R/RW

i think that Nero has the option to do backup
