Can I use any maintenance db9 jack on a 3 cabinet SX 200 using procom

I tried using cabinet 3 to program using pro comm - it came up at first and now it will not give me the login prompts- A tech told me I have to use the cabinet with the processor is and it will not work on the other cabs--but it did? any help--

Yes, you can use the Maint port on a peripheral cabinet.

You might be best to use 9600 baud

If you logged in successfully, you might need to log out. A couple of Esc-6's might help
