Can I run vanilla ftp along with Openssh?

I have a 10.20 server that needs to ftp 2 different ways. 1 with vanilla ftp, the other with secure ftp. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but can I do this? If so, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
