Hello all -
We are currently running an IPO 500V2 with 11.0.4.6 and voicemail pro on windows server 2019 with the same 11.0.4.6. It is my understanding that windows os is no longer supported for voicemail pro on 11.1 and up.. Is it possible to leave our voicemail pro on 11.0.4.6 and upgrade our ip office to 11.1 fp 2 only? Or is this a bad idea? Thanks,

It might work, but I would definitely not recommend it as there is quite a jump between 11.0 and 11.1. Unless there is a reason to upgrade the IPO I would leave things as they are. If you must upgrade there are some ways to manually copy the .mdb file and .wav files from Windows to Linux and they have been discussed on other posts on this forum

I run VMP 11.1 at my house with a R9.1 IPO. It shouldn't be a problem. The official stance on it is 'within one major release' 11.0 and 11.1 are considered the same release as the .1 is a minor release.

If you are running server 2019 why not just run app server on hyper-v?

It isn't great to run VM Pro on a separate release but it will work fine. I have an R9.1 system in my home that is using VM Pro R11.1 running on the Linux app server. Sometimes it freaks out but 99% of the time it works perfectly fine.

If you have server 2019 with HyperV or any other hypervisor on your network, just spin up the Linux app server OVA. It's very easy to set up and configure. If you pull a backup from your existing Windows VM Pro server you should be able to just restore it to the new Linux VM Pro box.

One thing to remember is the password requirements in 11.1 IPO. Make sure to update the VMP. IPO 11.1 requires a 32 character VM password. I would agree a Hyper-V install would be the best idea but the OP asked if he could, not if he should... [smile]
