Can I run an erase automatically before a job?

As the topic suggests. I would like to automatically run an erase on the tape before a job starts. Can this be done?

There is no automatic erase job. You have to manually submit the erase job for the specified tape.

Running an overwrite backup job will erase the previous data anyway.
