Can I restore a partial catalog?

I have backup tapes created with the native WinXP Pro app on a Seagate DDS3 12/24 scsi dat. The problem is that one set is missing the 4th of 4 tapes and the another set won't read/catalog the last tape.
Is there alternative software that will read the tapes and allow me to just restore the files on the tapes that work?
