Is there a way that I can "lock" a station so that if the PHONE is PHYSICALLY unplugged and moved to another live port (tti'd or not) so it will not work????

you can set up a COR and restrict calls from coming in and or going out
Page 1 of the cor form "calling party restriction" to outward and "called party restriction" to inward. Hope this helps

That will keep it from working in its normal location as well though.

Sounds like AMGTEKIII is looking for a way to keep people from randomly moving phones.

The anser is to not use TTI/PSA. If they move a station to an unadministered port the phone will not work. Unfortunately if you're using IP phones this wont help and as far as I know there is no way to prevent that with them.

What kind of phone is it? Analog, digital?
What exactly are you trying to do?
If it is NOT an IP phone than its extension is assigned to a specific port and unplugging and moving the set will not help. The set will assume extension assigned to the new port.

Have you tried activating the station lock feature? this can prevent stations features being used by others even if you moved them physically to a different location.

It is a digital, in most cases it is a Call Master......Yes, what is happening is users are moving the phones and we are getting readt to roll out CRT....so we need to make sure users can not move a phone with out tele com knowing...

Well, if users are moving their own phones, than activating station lock is not going to help, is it?
Do you want to lock the SET itself?

Simreal hit it on the head, users are moving their own phones and when using teh new platform, that will just screw stuff up...I am not sure what you mean by locking the set....

When you do "sta-lock" it locks the extension in the switch, preventing people from making calls from the extension no matter where they move the set. It will not, however, prevent them from unplugging the phone and physically move it to a different location. If I understand you correctly, and there is a chance that I don't, I would disable ALL the ports that do not have phones connected to them. I do it in my facility, and the TTI code is a big "NO-NO" to everyone.

Well if the users are moving the phones themselves are they also TTI ing the phones to seperate and join them again in the new place? If so and that is the case change the TTI security code and maybe even the TTI code itself. Or make TTI a N and do not allow it untill someone in tele requires it and then turn it on.

They are moving the physical phones from one live port to another and then LOGGING IN at the new desk with thier agent log in.....

Make sure you have "Automatic Moves" (on page 2 of the station screen) set to NO.
