Hi all,
I have designed a form to display the reults of a parameter query where the user inputs part of a word to find an item from a stock list.

Because the stock list is so extensive, there can be too many results to scroll through quickly.
Can I somehow run a second query on the results from the form, so the user can input a further word to reduce the amount of matching records?

Many thanks
Phil

sure

you can create a second query where the table where the information is taken from is the first query

select * from firstquery where ........

please let me know if you understood

Hi IGPCS,
Thanks for the speedy response.
I'm not sure that I fully follow what you are trying to say. I'm quite new to all this !!

Could you give an example?

lets say this is my first query is from a table called customers and there is there 3 customers from one company the first query take the 3 customers from that company and now i will make another query that give me only i can choose only 1 customer

my first query is name SelCustomer

select * from SelCustomer .....

that will give you only the custoemrs that the first query selected

hope this is what you meant

Hi again,
Thanks for the advice.
I actually managed to get what I wanted by adding a filter button to the form, and adding the parameter to the filter.
