Is there a way to forward an extension to another number in the Definity switch. We can forward using the physical phone, but we have a lot of remote switches and its often difficult to find someone to forward an extension for us.

Not sure I understand your question but if you use vectors here is an example.Need more info, what is the goal, do you use vectors, are you forwarding internal extensions only?

Does anyone have a quarter, I need to make a phone call?

I'm pretty new to the Definity line, not sure what vectors are, but I've never used them. Basically, what I'm trying to do is forward a phone to an external phone number. I don't want to set up an attendant for every number we do this with though, so the easy solution is to just have a user at the remote campus forward the number. Often these numbers don't have physical phones (Phone book numbers, bridged ext, 800 #s, i.e.) so I have to give the user extra permissions and walk them through the process. I want to be able to just log into the switch and put in a forward #. Don't see where I can do this. With 7 switches, sometimes it's hard to find a competent user to perform the action.

There are many ways to do forwarding, this is one of them.

Change your remote coverage table to include the destination (include the 9). Add a new coverage path with your choice of coverages (all = y,y works well), and put the remote coverage slot number on the coverage point1 box. Then set the station to use that coverage path.

I've aso TTy-seperated and merged a phone onto my desk to do send-calls forward, just so the user could see a call-fwd button lit and be able to turn it off when they return.

Any phone that has been given console permissions, including switchboards, can do the forwarding to an off-net number and can also cancel forwarding, even to off-net numbers.

Thanks jordy5535, but like I mentioned above, I am looking for another solution. The one tc0nn mentioned looks like it might fit the build. Thanks for the responces guys and girls.
