Can I play an announcement to incoming DDI calls before the call is delivered to the extension. I am trying to stop any collect calls and was thinking of just playing a message to the incoming operator not to accent collect calls. Any one have any ideas of the best way to achieve this.

Thanks for your help.

Michael

If you have Mail and CCR it should be no problem!

1.) In the MAIL Module define an announcement

2.) In LD23 program a cdn.

3.)The script in the CCR Module should be like that:

*/ Announcement /*

give ivr ???? (number of your Voice Mail System) with treatment ???? (number of the announcement)
route to ???? (Extension)

4. If you don't like to change the number of the extension,
you have to use the incoming digit conversion (i think it's in the LD 49). Otherwise you have to change the nummber of the existing extension.

Then it should work like this:

Incoming DID call
Meridian diverts (if you use incoming digit conversion) it to the CDN you have defined
Script in the CCR Module ist executed.
Meridian Mail plays the announcement
After the announcemet ist played, the call ist routed to the extension
