Hi all, I have a problem concerning phdisk, when i start my labtop it tells me too run phdisk, so I formatted my harddrive thinking that will solve my problem but it didn't, now I was wondering if I could run phdisk from Cmos, since i cant load a new operating system. PLZ HELP. All Help can be sent to esalie@webmail.co.za

Yes that is it, listen since i fdisk my labtop now there is no op system and now i cant copy to the c drive, should i create a new partition on hdd or ???

So you've removed all partitions from hard drive - including the hidden one for phdisk? What operating system have you got and have you got a restore CD or an installation CD? (As you basically need to reinstall operating system).

I have the startup disk for win98 and also the cd, can i install windows or must i create another partition

If you're installing 98 from the install CD, you will first need to boot from the boot floppy and use fdisk to create a partition. You will then need to reboot - from there you can just boot 98 install CD - it will offer to format the partition you've created, or boot the boot floppy with CD support, and use the format command to format the partition before running setup from the CD.
