Hello,
does anyone know, if we are able to upgrade the an Argent with IPO SW? Is the 406v1 same HW as an Argent Modul?

In short "No"

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACA - IP Telephony
ACS - IP Office Implement
CCNA - Working towards.

and in long? give me the DTE commands to become an IPO, please.

I think its almost the same thing as upgrading an INDeX IPNC-cassette from 3.1 to 3.2 theres a step by step in the ipnc32uk.pdf manual. (should be found att support.avaya.com)
See page 9 to 13.
Reboot the Argent.

at-debug
you should get a new prompt "...Hello>"
ipoffice
This is irreversible. Continue(Y/N)?
Y
Now you should see something like "New boot sector proces.."
and get the Hello> prompt back.
reboot

Start by trying to upgrade you unit to an older version of IP Office software like 1.4 (or older if you can get hold of it.)

Then upgrade step by step with new bootloaders as long as it works.

You can NOT load IP Office sofware on a Argent!!!!
At best it wont work, at worst it will never work again.

There was a version 2.3(25) for Argent Branch which is equivalent to very early IP Office. It had lots of VoIP
stuff in it.

I also have a version 2.3(26) which has a few bug fixes in it. Let me know if you want copy of bin files and Manager to go with it.

I thought that version is to provide SCN functionality to allow SCN between IPO and Alchemy.

Hi Davemead,
I would be very thankfull, if you can provide me the Alchemy Binfiles and Managerfiles 25/26. Can you mail them to "sorpio (!a_t!) web.de"

Thank you very much

Sorpio

Let me know how you get on.

If you succeed, I have a ZX81 that needs to be upgraded to a pentium...

Hi Sorpio

Manager and bin files on way to you.

MattKnight - The reason that we used 2.3(25) on the Argent Branch was because it introduced the Anti-tromboning feature that had been promised to one of our customers!

Hi Daffymd

I wonder if I could trouble you to send me 2.3(26) versions of the NABranch files to : avaya(at)borrell.co.uk

Many thanks
