Is it possible join to meetme conferences with the conference button and drop the call? Also is there any way you can get more than 6 participants on one conference?

Help would be very appriciated thanks!!!

Not officially with CM. I've read about people finding work arounds, but I've never seen one work.

You can setup an IP Office behind your Definity for conferencing purposes or you can purchase an S8500 for use as an enhanced meet me conference server. Either way you expand beyond the 6 party limit.

Try this:

To get more than 6 participants:
1. create 2 meetme conferences
2. the meetme conferences need to be accessible from the outside (maybe via audix).
3. On an Avaya phone, call the first conference via an outside line, then conference the 2nd one also via an outside line.

You guys get 6 on the Meet Me? Mine and other people with PBX's around me say they can get 6 but the system limits us to 5, when the 6 person tries to join it says conference busy. (Even if one of the 6 dials the internal extension for the bridge) Version CM 3.0 (I also have IP Office Conferencing, it works good)

Public Network Trunks on Conference Call: 5 (says 6 is out of range) Auto Start? n
Conference Parties with Public Network Trunks: 6 Auto Hold? n
Conference Parties without Public Network Trunks: 6

Is at least one of the callers an internal user or are you trying to get all 6 users from the outside?
I think it won't allow 6 external users. So if you are calling from your cell phone or from home, even if you dial in from an autoattendant, it counts as an outside user.

We call in one from the office on a 4-digit internal extension. It's very strange, I know other companies in my area with the same problem. We've had it a couple years and learned to live with it.

Toni269,

did you ever try to check ch sys fe page 6, fields "Public Network Trunks on Conference Call", "Conference Parties with Public Network Trunks" and "Conference Parties without Public Network Trunks"? defaults are 5, 6, 6 respectively.
if you have 5, 6, 6 in these fields, try to assemble a conference on a digital phone and list trace it to see what's happening when you're trying to add sixth party.

I did a test with all Internal extensions. It didn't go so well because it kept just dropping lines. I think I got up to 6 on the internal, I turned it down to 5 and tried to dial one from the outside and got denied. Turned it down to 4 and got in with the 5th from outside. This is the list trace from the very last connection - #6 that was denied. Last announcement tells me that the conference is full. I was monitoring status on the meet-me VDN, looked like I had 6-7 internal ports at one time, one of them was IP - not sure about that 7th one...

Why don't using an Asterisk Server with h323 trunks it's free and it works.
