We are a problem and I'd like to know if can I install 1 file system agent version 7 on CommServe Console version 8?

You can have older ida agents running with your 8.0 commserve. I have never tried installing a 7.0 client when my commserve was already 8, but you could try it.

What is the issue that makes you need 7.0 ida?

I once tried to install a 6.1 agent into an 7.0 CommCell and was denied. I suspect you will experience the same if you try a 7.0 agent into an 8 CommCell.

You can install v7 client on a v8 CommCell, but you will need to add a Registry Key to allow it.
