Greetings,

We are running out of IP phone licenses. We have plenty of digital licenses. Our remote sites require IP phones. As requests for new phones for the remote sites come in I have been transitioning our local IP users to digital (3904) phones.

Is it possible to forward the extension of the IP phone to another number?

Thanks in advance for your time!

I would greatly appreciate some detailed instructions on how to do this. Thanks!

Not sure we get your objective ?

If your saying DN's without TN's to be routed over to another sites roll out of Digital 3904 phones, it can be achieved a number of ways the obvious choice would be to introduce Steering Codes or is it External CallForwarding InterSite, can you be more specific

Cheers !!

I apologize, very new at this.

So, I have a nortel extension assigned to an IP phone. The IP phone is returned to inventory, and the phone outed.

I would like to forward the old (no longer in service?) extension to an extension on another phone system.

Hopefully, this made it a little clearer.

Build it as a Phantom TN

Check in LD 22 to see how many Phantom's you have

just do a SLT

As I say there are more ways than one as you can see, but if your not wanting to use TN Licences then another way to consider would be Steering Codes in additon to Phantom's and ACD but they use Licences which I guess you have many

Cheers!!

OUT the unused IP phone's TN in LD 20

Do a DNB on the DN assigned to that IP phone, make sure it's not appearing elsewhere. If not then...

Go in to LD 23
NEW
ACD
ADCN = the DN of the IP phone you just outed in LD 20
Hit 'enter' until you get to MAXP
Enter 1
Hit 'enter' until you get to NCFW
Enter the DN you want this number to forward to
Hit 'enter' until you complete the programming.

Easy as pie and I just saved you $170 for the service call for what amounted to 30 seconds of work.
