Can I delete this file?

Hello All,

I am currently applying SP4 to our W2K Servers. For safety I am archiving the original files when the service pack prompts me to. My question is once the service pack has been applied successfully, is it safe to just delete the archived files/uninstall files that the service pack created? According to the service pack the files are being archived to - c:\winnt$ntservicepackuninstall$. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Should be no problem. Best to leave for a few backup rotations first - just in case.
