Can I clear contents of BACKUP folder on SD card to make room? 1

We have an older 4GB SD card from 2012. All new ones are 8GB I believe. We forward all voicemail to email but our card is pretty full and won't let me dump J series firmware or even upgrade to version 11.

Is it safe to clear content under this folder?

I know this is not the direct answer to your question but honestly you should get a new SD card and rehost. Those 4GB SD cards had a much higher failure rate and of course half the space available.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I was on the fence and you've swayed me. I figure I'm going to be working on it for a couple of hours anyway backing up the card, formatting and re-creating, dumping config and LVMail files back in, etc. I might as well go with a new card for $30.

We refuse to install R11 on anything but an 8GB card.
