Is it possible to change the ip address of an exchange server (5.5)? Just in relation to machine functionality.
I'm installing a firewall onto a network and would like to put the existing exchange server behind it. So I need to change the ip address of the exchange server to one on the private lan. But when I tried the other day, I couldn't ping the exchange server from the firewall. I got destination host unreachable.
So I'm trying to determine if this too much of a change for nt machine, like changing an nt server's name would be. Or if it has something to do with my firewall. The only catch is that other servers and workstations are doing fine behind the firewall.
I don't care about the exchange server's isp. I'll take of that thru the firewall. I'm just talking about basic network connectivity.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
