Hello

I want to change JDK version used by eGate. As of now my eGate 4.5.3 uses jdk 1.3. I want to change it to jdk1.4.

JIntegra that ships with eGate needs JDK 1.3 and fails to start with later version of JDK. Without JIntegra, you may have problems on Windows. eGate is a litte touchy about versions. So, I would suggest not to deviate from what eGate documentation says.

hello stiruchendurai,

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't have any problem with current jdk version used by eGate. The only problem is I want to use java.lang.String class of jdk1.4 which has some good new methods. But changing version is a big problem with eGate so i have dropped the idea and found another solution.
